I’m SARASA.
I explore the world through music.
For almost two decades, DJing has taken me across countries, cultures, dance floors, kitchens, and conversations I never could have planned. What started as a love for records became a passport into understanding people, places, and the invisible connections that bring us together.
I’m not interested in simply collecting destinations, trends, or experiences.
I’m interested in why cultures move us.
Why music connects strangers.
Why food carries history.
Why one unexpected moment can completely change the way we see the world.
This journal is where I document those moments.
The “aha moments.”
The small discoveries that become big shifts.
How I got here
I started my journey as a DJ because I loved music.
That path eventually took me around the world: from underground clubs to international stages, from record shops to remote places, from conversations with strangers to collaborations with global brands.
Along the way, music opened doors into something bigger.
Culture.
A trip to Mexico that began with curiosity turned into a deep connection with its food, people, and traditions. That connection eventually led me to open my own Mexican restaurant, Casa De Sarasa, and later to become President of the Tacos Association.
My love for agave culture also led me to become a Tequila Brand Ambassador.
But none of these things were separate paths.
They all came from the same place:
curiosity.
What this journal is—and is not
This is not a travel guide.
It’s not about checking countries off a list.
It’s not about showing a perfect life.
It is a collection of lessons from the road.
Stories behind the music.
People I meet.
Cultures I dive into.
Places that challenge what I thought I knew.
It is about looking deeper.
Because behind every song, every dish, every tradition, and every person, there is a story.
Why I write
Because the world feels bigger when we understand each other.
Because a taco is never just a taco.
A song is never just a song.
A journey is never just a destination.
Everything carries history, identity, struggle, creativity, and human connection.
I write to share those layers.
Not to teach.
Not to tell you how to live.
But to invite you into the moments that made me think differently.
